Our Team

     Dennis Scott has established a solid reputation as a registered architect in Tyler Texas for 40 years. He has the proven skills, resources, and enthusiasm needed to deliver well designed buildings on-time and within budget. 

Over the years, Dennis Scott has assisted numerous clients in the design process, helping them express the vision for their new homes and commercial projects. 

The most rewarding part of his architectural practice is to see the pleasure and excitement of his clients as their new homes become reality.

Dennis Scott began his career after obtaining a degree in architecture from the University of Houston, and he obtained his professional registration as a licensed architect in 1988.

Dennis is the president of the Tyler Audubon Society and enjoys bowling.

John Horsley has been employed at DJS Architect since 2014.  He graduated from Texas State Technical College with a degree in architecture and civil drafting.  He has been working in the architectural field for over a decade.  Dennis and John work directly with clients from start to finish. John is involved in every aspect from discussions to drafting the final product. John’s goal is to ensure the vision of the client’s new home is created to fit their needs.

John’s hobbies include mountain biking, carpentry, and hiking.

Brennan Shuler has been employed at DJS Architect since 2022.  He graduated from Tyler Junior College with a degree in Engineering Design Technology. He has experience in drafting classes as early as his freshman year of high school. Brennan supports Dennis and John by helping with the drafting/design process. Brennan is involved in every aspect from discussions to drafting the final product. 

Brennan’s goal is to satisfy the clients with everything they want to see in their dream home.
